Levels of Hand Hygiene Monitoring
Group Monitoring
This is monitoring the compliance of staff in general to a particular room or area of the hospital, data is not specific to the healthcare worker.
In/Out Monitoring
A majority of hospitals in the USA monitor hand hygiene to the CDC guidelines which is santizing hands everytime you enter/exit a room, this level monitors just that.
Patient Zone Monitoring
This level monitors any patient interaction at the bedside or patient zone and is similar to the WHO guidelines for monitoring hand hygiene. A wall sensor puts a zone around that area.
